Well, it’s that time of year again, the time when authors and authors-to-be let loose on their PC’s, Macs, laptops, tablets, typewriters and/or pen and paper, hoping to obtain the goal of 50,000 words in thirty days. November might be described as a month of writing madness by an outsider looking in. It may be described as a month of sheer pleasure for the writing crowd, letting the imagination reign over logic to create the words, phrases, paragraphs to describe a new book.
NaNoWriMo writing month teaches or reminds us of the flow of writing, how it sits us at our desks for whatever it takes to meet a daily, weekly and ultimately monthly stretch of words. Hopefully, this very rough, never-to-be-seen-in-public display can be culled into a novel, a novella or even a short story in the aftermath of this crazy month of writing.
